Membership of the International Institute of Marine Surveying will be at the following grades, some of which you may apply for, others of which are appointed.

- ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
- TECHNICIAN MEMBERSHIP
- AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP
- SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIP
- CORPORATE SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIP
